Founder A woman of many passions, Sara has described herself as an "expressive artist". She has worked professionally as an actor, director, producer, and writer in the entertainment industry and as a teacher on a broad range of subjects. She earned a BA in philosophy from Agnes Scott College and an MEd from the University of Houston. At home, a love for order and beauty led to an intensive independent study of renovation techniques, gardening, and interior design. HGE is an outgrowth of this study and Sara's passion for entertaining, organization, home beautification, and gardening. When asked to what she attributes her success, she reflects, "I enjoy conversation involving the exchange of ideas, and this work is little more than making myself available to the client by listening and offering suggestions. I try to really hear what it is the client is trying to achieve and draw from my experience and resources to provide them with a solution." | Company History The seeds for HGE were sown in the mid-1990s with a select group of friends who enticed Sara into their homes between theatrical projects asking for her advice on a wide range of projects including: purchasing antique Persian rugs, selecting color schemes for their home, coordinating fabrics for an office, and putting together a flower containers for the porch. Shortly after her move to Atlanta in 2000, Sara expanded the business to include a diverse group of distinguished clients including corporate executives, entrepreneurs, and public figures. She quickly discovered that busy individuals appreciate an extra set of eyes, ears, and hands and become an invaluable partner assisting them with many projects related to lifestyle management. Over the years, Sara has formed many vaulable alliances with outstanding professionals in related fields, such as architects, contractors, and stylists, who work collaboratively to meet the needs of her clients.
